Proud board member of the Southeast Hemp Association!
Becky Hobden is a founding board member of the Southeast Hemp Association (SEHA). Part of her focus with SEHA includes advocating for standardization among cannabis testing labs, that includes a platform for testing labs that adhere to scientifically validated best practices that can be utilized by any laboratories, processors, and regulators performing cannabis testing. Becky is excited to see the sustainable growth of the cannabis industry throughout the southeast.
About SEHA:
SEHA currently represents growers, processors, retailers, and ancillary service providers and plans to coordinate with existing hemp trade organizations to ensure consistency in messaging and goals. With 600 members from seven different states, the SEHA works to build the supply chain across the bioregion for the industry and promote best practices and standards for all facets of hemp, from plant to process to product.
Lab Standardization Committee Mission:
The mission of the Lab Standards Committee of the Southeast Hemp Association is to lead the industry in standardization and harmonization of methods and practices across cannabis testing labs. The mission will be met by creating a set of recommended best practices derived from rigorous scientific experimentation and the best of regulatory science. The recommended best practices will focus on issues that that solve real-world industry challenges, thereby creating value for the industry and its members.
