Sample Results
Typical turn-around time for cannabinoid potency is 2-3 days. All other tests and packages take 5-7 business days. A Certificate of Analysis with your sample results will be emailed to you. Each COA has a QR code that is linked to the COA.
Importance of Representative Samples
A representative sample is a subset of a group that accurately reflects the characteristics of the larger group. Samples sent to Green Analytics VA for testing need to be representative of the entire cannabis crop for growers or the entire production batch for processors. It is the customer’s responsibility to submit a representative sample to Green Analytics VA.
Due to the non-homogenous nature of the cannabis plant itself and the variation in the field or grow room from one plant or section to another, it is challenging to obtain a representative sample. Please take care in how and where you are sampling your plants to ensure the results from testing are representative of your batch. If testing cured bud or flower, please ensure the sample sent for testing represents what the consumer will be using.
Production batches are fairly homogenous in nature, therefore a representative sample of an extract, oil, or topical, is typically easier to take. Please ensure the material is well mixed before taking the sample.
